Can you have IT set the timeout to 1501 milliseconds so chrome mobile doesn't send a reset. In windows 10 and iOS the reset clears the text box since memory is locked from the user level.
I noticed this on my phone on iOS using LTE but could manually force a recreation on a 1.2 gig fibre in both windows 10 and 10 mobile by upping my reply state. It's definitely on your end and looks to be, simplified, a latency timeout.
I'd say something useful but my php experience is limited wtf igu!
