Just out of curiosity, i seen today that gold fingered ram is paying $54/pound now. Up from $49/pound. I sent in a couple shipments that included gold fingered ram. The invoices were generated when it was $49/pound but hasn't been paid out yet. When they get paid out will amount reflect the current price or for when the invoice was generated?

Prices do change on occasion especially if gold prices fluctuate. I would expect your quoted price to be the price you're paid. It stinks when the price goes up but it protects you if the price drops.

But...maybe you get a nice surprise ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Boardsort sets the price. That is a basic statement in Economics. The business sets price. Boardsort or any other business does not just wake up in the morning and set price. It involves long term goals. Risks. Obligations. Think about it. Boardsort could be in long term contract to deliver escrap at a set price. So now that escrap has to be delivered at that contract price. Even though it went up. And at the quanity negotiated. Yet. Boardsort has to remain competitive. And buy escrap at higher prices. To remain in the market. Even if Boardsort has to purchase escrap at a higher price than the contract price. Ok. I know I am talking the current short selling in the Silver market. But. Same difference.
You getting paid out at what the current price was. Is fair. If you get a perk. Beautiful. I went through the same thing you are sharing. I missed the price increase by a day or two.I recieved what I submitted my escrap at. It is fair.
Here to learn like everybody else.

I shipped a pallet a while back and prices all went up while it was in transit. I had small quantities of lower price and large quantities of higher price. He gave me the new price on the higher value but not the lower. I came out way ahead and was very happy because they didn’t have to do that and I wasn’t expecting them to. Point being, they probably treat each situation differently based on hassle on their part versus value to the customer. Just my opinion.
