Does anyone throw these copper back light strips from LED TVs in with their boards? I’ve heard that’s common practice, but I wanted to be sure before sending and wasn’t sure how I would grade them.

Depends on the particular light strip. These look low grade to me.

Sometimes they're on aluminum and I take those to the scrap yard

Same re: the aluminum ones. I actually hate when I flip it over and see it is the copper kind because I have no clue what to do with them.

They can go into Low/Mid grade. I usually sort them as, ALU in Low, Cu in Mid.

Some LED strips have a good amount of flashing or fingers on the end with gold plated LEDS. I haven't found many but they can go Low per.
